“2017 Workshop – Mediating High Conflict Personalities” mediator continuation education is presented by Tennessee Valley Mediation Association (TVMA) and Shawn Skillin, J.D. This seminar will provide six hours of continuing education credit (5 hours General / 1 Hour Ethics for CLE/CME).

Who should attend:
Anyone needing continuous education for general, legal, and ethics credits to improve their mediator skills.
The six hour seminar will address conflict styles, the five common high conflict personalities, and help you build skills for managing them in mediation. Specific exercises will help you manage your own anxiety and reduce resistance to get the agreement to mediate signed, set the agenda, get proposals and finalize agreements.
About Shawn Skillin, J.D.
Shawn Skillin, J.D. who co-founded the High Conflict Institute with Bill Eddy and others. She is an attorney and mediator from San Diego, CA. Ms. Skillin teaches mediation and offers training and consultation to mediators, attorneys, mental health professionals and others who deal with high conflict personalities.
Tennessee Valley Mediation Association (TVMA)
Tennessee Valley Mediation Association is a 501(c) non-profit organization with the mission to provide Rule 31 mediation training and continuous education for existing and prospective professionals wanting to perform mediation services. The TVMA offers Rule 31 training in civil and family law.
Anyone needing continuous education for general, legal, and ethics credits may attend on the third Tuesday of each month. The time is 6:00 – 7:00 pm.
