Mr. Baker has spent the majority of his professional career resolving conflict and settling disputes within the insurance industry. He began his career working as both a property and liability claims adjuster, but quickly advanced, becoming a claim investigative specialist, fraud expert, and working in Claim Management for a top Fortune 500 insurance carrier. Within this timeframe he was introduced into the aspects of civil mediation from both property and liability claims. Venturing on his own as an independent consultant for the claims industry, his intrigue with the mediation practice continued, after he served as a Catastrophic Claims Coordinator during Hurricane Irene. He was focused more than ever, on how mediation could be more successfully initiated during the claims process, and then utilized as a normal settlement practice, offering the most benefit for all involved parties and for the insurance industry as a whole.

With his new found ideologies, Mr. Baker established his private practice, The Claim Firm, which focused on examining all claims from a mediation standpoint. He began implementing his new practice(s) during Hurricane Mathew, settling 100% of the claims assigned to his office. Since that time, his continued approach has allowed successful settlement of cases from the Gatlinburg fire claims, and most recently during Hurricane Harvey where he spent 8 months in Texas. To date, Mr. Baker has successfully represented over 25 insurance companies all over the United States as a settlement specialist, mediator, expert witness and in litigation support.
