Mediation Topics for Immigration will be presented by Tennessee Valley Mediation Association (TVMA) on February 19, 2019 at 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The course is pending approval for 1.0 hour of CME.

The class “Mediation Topics for Immigration” will be presented by Rachel Bonano, J.D. Come and learn how to successfully implement mediation into domestic violence cases.

Date:

Anyone needing continuous education for general, legal, and ethics credits to improve their mediator skills.

About:

Ms. Bonano has a BA in Religious Studies with a minor in Chemistry from Vanderbilt University, and a JD, with honors, from University of Tennessee College of Law. She was admitted to practice before the immigration courts, in the State of Tennessee, the Eastern District of Tennessee, the 5th and 6th Circuits of the United States, and the United States Supreme Court. Ms. Bonano is fluent in Spanish and loves working with the Hispanic population in East Tennessee. She has had her own general practice firm for about seven years, principally serving the Hispanic population of East Tennessee. About 75% of her cases are immigration cases and of those about 75% are removal defense. Her second largest case type is domestic law, and she has attended many many meditations in that regard. Also, Ms. Bonano attends workers’ compensation meditations fairly regularly.
